LEVEL TEST
TCF - French Knowledge Test
The TCF is the language level test of the French Ministry of National Education, Youth and Sports. It assesses the general French language skills of people for whom French is not the mother tongue.
The TCF is a linguistic level test in French as a general language intended for all non-French speaking audiences who wish, for professional, personal or study reasons, to have their knowledge of French assessed and validated in a simple, reliable and fast way.
The TCF gives rise to the issuance of a level certificate. As with all language tests, this certificate is valid for two years.
There are 3 versions of the TCF:
TCF All Public
- For further studies
- For professional or personal reasons
- For positioning or certification of their French language level
TCF IRN
- For an application for French nationality
- For a request for a long-term resident card
- For validation of level A1 as part of the OFII citizen course
TCF Quebec
For immigration to the province of Quebec
There are two types of TCF tests:
TCF in breakable proofs : The TCF Tout public (TP) and the TCF for Quebec (QC): the candidate can choose the tests he wishes to take. Please note: for the TCF TP, MCQs are, however, compulsory.
The TCF in the indivisible trials : the TCF Integration, Residence and Nationality (IRN), the TCF Canada (CA): the candidate must imperatively pass all the tests of the test.
Registration is only done on site on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 9am and 12pm. Go to the reception with an identity document.
Payment is made in cash, check, credit card, or by bank transfer.
Cloe Certifications
Since 2018, CLOE certifications (Oral and Written Language Skills) CELs, listed in the Specific Directory of France Competences, are offered in five languages and financed by the Personal Training Account (CPF) :
This solution, structured around a harmonized certification including a online assessment of written and oral knowledge of the language and an oral interview, makes it possible to respond to a growing demand from employees for a fast and precise solution.
Why choose CLOE certifications?
Choosing to have your language skills validated via CLOE certifications means:
- get a certification validated by CCI France
- certify their skills according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL)
- to be able to finance its certifications by its Personal Training Account (CPF)

Fullerenes holders of a CLOE certification can attest to their communication skills in everyday or professional situations. The certification alone is offered at the price of 120€.

REGISTRATION CONDITIONS
PARIS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY
Registrations can only be made on site during your stay at the CiC. You can present yourself as a free candidate or take a preparation course for the CiC. Payment is made in cash. After your arrival at the CiC, go to the "Pedagogical Office", with your ID and registration fees.
