The TCF is the language level test of the French Ministry of National Education, Youth and Sports. It assesses the general French language skills of people for whom French is not the mother tongue.

The TCF is a linguistic level test in French as a general language intended for all non-French speaking audiences who wish, for professional, personal or study reasons, to have their knowledge of French assessed and validated in a simple, reliable and fast way.

The TCF gives rise to the issuance of a level certificate. As with all language tests, this certificate is valid for two years.

There are 5 variations (or versions) of the TCF:

- TCF All Public: For further studies

                                     For professional or personal reasons

                                     For the positioning or certification of its level of French language

- TCF ANF              : For the application for French naturalization

- TCF CRF              : To obtain a long-term resident card in France

- TCF Quebec        : For immigration to the province of Quebec

There are two types of TCF:

TCF in breakable proofs : The TCF Tout public (TP) and the TCF for Quebec (QC): the candidate can choose the tests he wishes to take. Please note: for the TCF TP, MCQs are, however, compulsory.

The TCF in the indivisible trials : TCF for naturalization (ANF), TCF for resident card (CRF), TCF Canada (CA): the candidate must pass all the tests of the test.

Registrations can only be made on site during your stay at the CiC. Payment is made in cash, check or credit card, or by bank transfer for remote registration. After your arrival at the CiC, go to reception with your ID and registration fees.
