TCF - French knowledge test
The TCF is the language level test of the French Ministry of National Education, Youth and Sports. It assesses the general French language skills of people whose mother tongue is not French.
The TCF is a linguistic level test in French as a general language intended for all non-French speaking audiences who wish, for professional, personal or study reasons, to have their knowledge of French assessed and validated in a simple, reliable and fast way.
The TCF gives rise to the issuance of a level certificate. As with all language tests, this certificate is valid for two years.
There are two types of TCF tests:
- The TCF with divisible tests: The TCF General public (TP) and the TCF for Quebec (QC): the candidate can choose the tests he wishes to take. Please note: for the TCF TP, the multiple choice questions are, however, compulsory.
- The TCF with unbreakable tests: the TCF Integration, Residence and Nationality (IRN), the TCF Canada (CA): the candidate must pass all the tests of the test.

- For professional or personal reasons
- For positioning or certification of their French language level
TCF IRN
- For an application for French nationality
- For a request for a long-term resident card
- For validation of level A1 as part of the OFII citizen course
TCF Quebec
- For immigration to the province of Quebec
Registrations are only done by email on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. The email must contain: your completed registration form, a photocopy of your double-sided identity document as well as proof of your transfer.

CLOE certification
Since 2018, the CLOE (Oral and Written Linguistic Skills) certifications of CELs, listed in the France Compétences Specific Directory, are offered in five languages and can be financed by the Personal Training Account (CPF):
- English
- German
- Spanish
- Italy
- French as a foreign language
This solution, structured around a harmonized certification including an online assessment of written and oral knowledge of the language and an oral interview, makes it possible to respond to a growing demand from employees for a rapid and precise solution.

Registration conditions
PARIS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY
Registrations can only be done on site during your stay on campus. You can apply as an independent candidate or take a campus preparation course. Payment is made in cash. After your arrival at campus, go to the “Pedagogical Office”, with your ID and registration fees.
