Pedagogical and didactic exploitation of works of art in education

This course is essentially practical: it aims to discover and test on the one hand a series of tools (the poem, the photo, the video, the theatrical expression) on the other hand artistic and cultural practices (the song, painting, music, writing) to enrich the school bag for teachers in FLE, or FSL both for writing and for speaking.

Format and pedagogy

The format of the courses:

The duration of the training is 25 hours over 5 days 5 hours a day. A session is open from 6 participants, the content and format of our training courses are however customizable according to the specificities of each one.

Our classes are usually made up of 8 to 12 students for better individualization of learning. The International College of Cannes also offers individual lessons for faster and more efficient learning.

  • Dynamic animations based on progressive methods and scenarios
  • Oral expression

  • Provision of a resource center for fun learning 

Our programs

In order to promote learning, we first carry out a linguistic assessment of our students, in order to better determine their levels, their needs and the concepts to be addressed as a priority. Our trainings are tailor-made, our teachers adapt their lessons and pedagogies according to the profile and needs of each one.

The topics covered during the training:

The internship will be centered on a set of practical tasks, to be carried out individually or in a team in order to show how the arts apply the language by associating several skills in the pedagogical process.

Thematic workshops:

  • Drawing / Painting
  • Live Drama
  • Music
  • Poetry
  • Photography

Each theme is developed:

  • Interest and application of the support
  • Structure of an educational sequence around the use of a given medium
  • Construction, structure and animation of an educational path around the production of a support

In addition

French or foreign teachers or future teachers, eager to vary their techniques and curious about an innovative teaching approach.

No prerequisite in artistic education is required. On the other hand, teachers should be familiar with the European frame of reference and show a personal interest in different art forms. An A2 level in French is however required.

The candidates' level of French will be defined following a language test, this test also aims to know the strengths and weaknesses of the students in order to adapt our program or pedagogy, for better results.

The student will be assessed through a scenario, calling on the vocabulary and concepts mentioned in the course. A skills assessment sheet is given to each trainee allowing them to assess their skills. If the training is validated, a skills certificate will be given at the end of the course.

At the end of the training, each student receives:

  • A support covering the main theoretical concepts discussed.
  • The end-of-session evaluation sheet, attesting to the student's level.
