Terms and Conditions

  1. Registration and confirmation
    Any registration received by the Cannes International Campus by mail, email, or on site will be considered valid. The contract will be considered finalized as soon as the Cannes International Campus has confirmed the registration: it will then be legally enforceable.
    If the registered person is an adult, this person becomes the co-contractor of the Cannes International Campus.
    If the registered person is a minor, his legal representative must sign the contract indicating his exact address.
    The person, who is contractually registered, is called participant and so designated under the conditions below.
    The person who signs the contract (the participant himself, or in the case of a minor, his legal representative), is called the co-contracting party and is thus designated under the conditions below.

 * UNSUPERVISED MINORS ARE ONLY ACCEPTED FOR ACCOMMODATION ON CAMPUS IN THE PRESENCE OF A LEGAL RESPONSIBLE OR AN APPROVED SUPERVISOR. FAMILY ACCOMMODATION IS RESERVED FOR STUDENTS OVER THE AGE OF 18.

  1. Information provided during registration
    The contracting partner expressly declares that the information provided during registration is true and accurate. Any omission or erroneous information may lead to immediate expulsion from the stay. In this case, the costs of the stay will not be reimbursed, neither in whole nor in part.
  1. French lessons
    Classes start every Monday depending on the student's level. Course availability depends on level groups. Here are the course start dates for complete beginners: January 8, February 5, March 4, April 8, May 13, June 3, July 1, August 5, September 2, October 7, November 4 and December 2. It is mandatory to take the online placement test at the time of registration and at least 7 days before the start of classes, in order to place the student in a course that corresponds to their level. The student must come to class with their belongings, pens, notebook or paper.

    In the event of absence or lateness, the student must notify the teacher and the educational service.     

  2. Registration fees
    There is no registration fee.
  3. Agreement modification fee
    If the participant wishes to change the type of course or accommodation chosen during registration, no refund will be made in the event of a reduced service, and the pricing will be readjusted in the event of an increased service. No additional costs will be requested from the participant if he decides to extend his stay in the same course centre. 
  1. Payment Terms
    A deposit of 25 percent of the total sum of the services chosen and acceptance of the established estimate is compulsory for the validation of the participant's registration.
    The balance of the total fees is due no later than 21 days before the start of services. If the Cannes International Campus receives the registration less than one week before the start of services, the total amount of fees must be paid upon receipt of acceptance of the quote. Course and accommodation fees will be considered paid as soon as the Cannes International Campus bank account has been credited with the amount to be paid. Account details will be provided to you on the quote.
  1. Payment deadline
    The co-contractor is required to respect the payment deadlines specified by the Cannes International Campus upon confirmation of registration. In the event of non-compliance with deadlines by the participant, Le Campus International de Cannes reserves the right to refuse access to the course. No complaints on this subject will be taken into account by the Cannes International Campus.
  1. Proof of payment
    The co-contracting party may be asked to provide material proof of payment for the services before the start, or at the start of the language course. If you do not present this proof, you will be refused access to language courses and accommodation.
    In the event of late registration, the Cannes International Campus will ask the co-contractor to provide proof of payment before sending them the documents to prepare for their departure.
  1. Cancellation before the start of the stay
    The co-contractor has the possibility of canceling the contract at any time before the start of the language stay. In this case, Le Campus International de Cannes is entitled to demand payment of appropriate financial compensation, the amount of which will depend on the time remaining between the date of receipt of the cancellation request by Le Campus International de Cannes and the start of the stay. Thus, the amount of compensation will be calculated as follows:

- Up to 61 days or more before the first day of the language course: 30% of the total price invoiced

- Between 60 and 30 days before the first day of the language course: 50% of the total price invoiced

- 30 days or less before the first day of the language course: 70% of the total price invoiced

- Non-participation in the stay or cancellation after the prescribed deadlines: 100% of the total price invoiced

Cancellation fees must be paid within 10 days of receipt of the cancellation invoice. In the event that the participant is refused a visa application, the Cannes International Campus undertakes to reimburse the total amount of fees paid by the participant, less; expenses ; administration fee of Sixty Euros (60€) and bank charges of Twenty Euros (20€), upon presentation of the original refusal document sent by the French embassy.

  1. cancellation insurance
    The Cannes International Campus recommends that the co-contractor take out cancellation insurance. In the event that the participant has taken out cancellation insurance and decides to cancel their registration for a language stay, it is their responsibility to inform their insurer. Under no circumstances will the cancellation insurance be able to hold Le Campus International de Cannes responsible for the non-reimbursement of the costs of the stay.
  2. Passports and visa
    The participant is required to inform himself and comply with the security, visa obtaining and hygiene rules to be respected in order to enter France. Under no circumstances can the Cannes International Campus be held responsible if the participant is refused entry and stay on French territory. It is possible to obtain information relating to safety, hygiene and visa requirements at the embassy or consulate located in the participant's country. No refund will be made, either in whole or in part, if the participant is refused entry or stay in France through his or her own fault. The Cannes International Campus will provide you with an invitation letter upon request to apply for your visa upon receipt of the total costs of the language stay.
  1. Health / accident insurance
    It is the participant's responsibility to take out health/accident cover valid in the country in which they wish to stay and for the entire duration of the stay. 
  2. Damage caused by participants / civil liability
    Before arriving at the school, each participant must take out insurance to cover any loss/damage they may cause during their stay. Regardless of the circumstances, and even if the participant considers that it is not necessary to take out this insurance, he will be held responsible for any loss caused to the Cannes International Campus, to its commercial partners, or to a third party, unless the responsibility of the Cannes International Campus is clearly proven.
  1. Obligations of participants
    The participant will be assigned to a course that corresponds to their linguistic level, following a placement test provided by the Cannes International Campus.
    Participants are required to attend classes and arrive on time.
    In the event of total or repeated absence from classes, or behavioral problems, the Cannes International Campus reserves the right to expel the participant.
    The Cannes International Campus will not reimburse or pay any compensation for the missed period of stay or additional travel costs incurred.
  1. Late arrival
    To avoid disrupting classes, any participant who is more than 15 minutes late will have to wait until the break to return to class. In the event of a delay, the student must notify the teacher and the educational service.
  1. Repeated absence from classes
    Participants who do not attend all of the language stay courses will not receive any refund. Participants must attend at least 80% of the courses to receive their certificate
  1. Complaints
    Any complaints must be addressed to the school management directly. Any request for compensation must be notified in writing to the Cannes International Campus, and must reach us within four weeks after the end date of the stay stipulated in the contract. After this period, any action taken by the co-contractor will be considered null and void.
  1. Discipline
    If a participant displays inappropriate behavior and a disrespectful attitude, the Cannes International Campus reserves the right to expel them immediately.
    In this case, the Cannes International Campus will not reimburse, either in whole or in part, the part of the stay that the participant will have missed and will not offer any compensation for any additional costs incurred by the participant (in particular for the costs of travel).
  1. Modification of prices, dates or services
    The pricing scale for the Cannes International Campus is established according to a decreasing scale based on the duration of the services. This offer is not retroactive.
    If the co-contractor makes a change to the duration or services before or after departure, the offer and the reduction are canceled. This offer may be interrupted or modified by the Cannes International Campus at any time of the year without prior notification.
    Until the co-contractor receives the registration confirmation, the Cannes International Campus may change at any time the dates and prices of the language stays published on its website or on any other communication medium. After confirmation of registration by the Cannes International Campus, it may change its services, provided that the changes are minor, inevitable and honest, and that they do not affect the teaching services. If the key services provided by the Cannes International Campus are affected by major changes, participants have the possibility to withdraw their registration, or to register for another stay of the same value, if the Cannes International Campus is at even offer it to them. The Cannes International Campus must inform participants of any changes immediately. After receiving notification of change, participants must promptly notify the Cannes International Campus of their intention to exercise their rights or not.
  2. Minimum number of participants
    If the minimum number of participants required for a language course (6 people per group) is not reached, the Cannes International Campus will inform the contracting party no later than three weeks before the start of the stay.
    If the Cannes International Campus is unable to provide a replacement service, it undertakes to reimburse the costs inherent to the services not provided by the participant. Under no circumstances will the Cannes International Campus pay compensation for any inconvenience or loss of time caused. If no course corresponds to the participant's level, the Cannes International Campus reserves the right to substitute group lessons with private lessons. The number of hours of individual lessons will depend on the amount paid by the participant. When a participant registers for private lessons, the Cannes International Campus is solely authorized to designate the teacher(s) in charge of these lessons, to change them if necessary and to set the lesson times.
  3. Activities
    The Cannes International Campus reserves the right to cancel one or more of the activities announced in the brochure if the weather conditions, or any other circumstance beyond the control of the Cannes International Campus, and its organization, are not favorable. In this case, the Cannes International Campus undertakes to replace the canceled activities with others.
  4. Holidays
    The co-contractor declares to have taken note of the 2024 public holidays (01/01 – 01/04 – 01/05 – 08/05 – 20/05 – 14/07 – 15/08 – 01/11 – 11/11 – 25/12 ) during which courses and training are not provided. The co-contractor acknowledges that this cannot give rise to a request for financial compensation.
  5. Cancellation of a stay at Cannes International Campus
    The Cannes International Campus reserves the right to cancel a stay for security reasons, following a strike, political unrest or any other extraordinary incident. In this case, the Cannes International Campus undertakes to offer a postponement of said reservation or reimburse the related costs. The Cannes International Campus reserves the right to withhold a certain amount to cover administration costs.
  1. Responsibility
    The Cannes International Campus assumes full responsibility for stays and is committed to organizing them efficiently, drawing on its knowledge and experience of the sector. Under no circumstances will the Cannes International Campus be held responsible for losses resulting from illness, accidents or inconvenience caused by poor quality service provided by an agent employed by the Cannes International Campus; the Cannes International Campus cannot be held responsible for the loss of valuables, personal items, money, etc. unless these losses are due to proven negligence on the part of the Cannes International Campus.
  1. Well-being and safety
    The Cannes International Campus is authorized to undertake any reasonable action necessary for the well-being and health of participants. The Cannes International Campus is also entitled to take all necessary measures to ensure that participants receive appropriate medical treatment if necessary. The costs incurred by this type of medical treatment will be the responsibility of the participant, or their legal representative if they are a minor. An authorization ; written document established by the legal representative is required in the context of certain stays which involve risks. Without this signed document, the Cannes International Campus reserves the right to refuse the participant access to certain activities.
  1. Applicable law and jurisdiction
    French law applies exclusively to the contractual relationship between the Cannes International Campus and the participant. The competent court in this matter is the court of the place of residence of the Cannes International Campus. The general conditions of sale do not in any way limit the laws applicable to the co-contractor.
